Summer is a great time of the year, no matter the country you are currently in - the nature is filled with shades of green, insects are buzzing all around you and everyone seems to have a smile on their face. This is also the effect that German Summer Theme will probably have on you.



You can install it on your computer only if you are running one of the newest Windows flavors, namely Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. If you chose not to upgrade to any of these operating systems, you will need to look for another theme that is compatible with your PC.



Once installed, German Summer Theme automatically replaces the default desktop background and displays a high-quality picture of a flower or of an insect, as captured by photographer Thomas Freiberg.



There are several types of insects depicted in these pictures, such as butterflies, grasshoppers, scorpionflies or crickets, along with various vividly colored flowers that attracted the bugs in the first place.



You can configure how often the desktop wallpaper will be rotated, according to your liking - the frequency can range between several seconds to minutes or hours. You can also set German Summer Theme to switch the desktop background only when the computer is powered on.



Furthermore, in addition to the custom wallpapers, the theme also comes with a custom taskbar and windows color, meant to blend smoothly with the desktop background.
